The backing board is behind the 3D metal backlit letters and connected to them. You can choose a metal backing board or an acrylic backing board.

When you customize the metal backlit letters, you can consider adding a backing board.

1. Design:
   The backing board helps to amplify the halo of the letter backlight, making the design more prominent. As a whole, the letters and the backing board are also helpful in attracting attention.
   
2. Installation:
   For standard backlit letters installations (with only the logo), wires need to thread through the background wall, connect the power adapter and plug into the outlet. If your wall is not convenient for wire threading or you think you need to deal with too many wires, you can choose to add a backing board for the backlit sign.
   
   The backing board conceals the wires behind it, leaving only 1-4 wires exposed. You can choose to connect the wires to the power adapter behind the wall by drilling a hole, then either plug into an outlet or hardwire it. If you prefer not to thread the wires through the wall, you can wrap the wires with electrical tape or wire flame retardant insulation tube, connect them to the power adapter placed in front of the wall, and then either plug into an outlet or hardwire it.

Backboard options:

We have metal backing board and acrylic backing board.
Metal backing board: Stainless steel backboard, you can customize the color as needed.
Acrylic backing board: There are options such as clear board, frosted board, white board, black board. You can also customize the color as needed.

If your wall is not suitable for drilling holes to connect the wires to the power adapter behind the wall, you can consider adding a backing board or raceway to the back of your metal backlit letters.

Raceway:

The raceway conceals the wires and power adapter inside, leaving only 1-2 wires exposed on the outside. You can connect the wires to an outlet on the wall or hardwire them.

If you're simply removing dust, use a soft cloth and clean water. For dirtier spots, apply a high-quality dishwashing soap with clean water, and use a soft cloth or soft brush. Avoid using harsh chemicals or irritants, as they may damage the surface finish of the sign.
